Job summary

Intek Plastics, located in Eau Claire, WI, seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift (Mon–Fri). You will support operations by maintaining and repairing equipment, facilities, and property, coordinating with Operations and Engineering to set maintenance priorities and keep production running safely.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, stocking spare parts, and supporting asset improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the hiring manager.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Operations to establish maintenance priorities based on company needs
• Create, update, and share weekly maintenance priority lists and completed work orders
• Post weekly priority lists in the molding office for production meeting review
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic)
• Perform and document preventive and corrective maintenance on major equipment
• Maintain and repair internal and external facility and property issues
• Build, modify, and install accessories to support product manufacturing
• Consult with Engineering on design criteria for accessories and equipment improvements
• Stock, organize, and maintain spare parts inventory
• Participate in on-call rotation for maintenance emergencies (nights and weekends, as required)
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
