Job summary

Merakey seeks a Maintenance Technician for locations across the Greater Philadelphia region, including NJ and DE. You will perform repairs across facilities, use power tools safely, and complete daily tasks under the Maintenance Manager.

On-call coverage may be required to address emergencies and ensure building integrity. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of maintenance experience, and a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance/repair.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Skills across maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs across facilities.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily work assignments and report to supervisor.
• Attend trainings and follow Merakey policies.
• Conduct walkthrough inspections and address repairs promptly.
• Provide on-call coverage for emergencies when needed.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The technician will be responsible for locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, including NJ and DE.

Position Details

• Become familiar with the policies and procedures that is associated with Merakey. Comply with these policies and procedures in carrying out all aspects of the job.
• Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager
• Comply with work schedule. Call the program to report absence or lateness of work.
• Complete daily work assignments made by program supervisor.
• Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings.
• Uphold the missions, values and philosophy for Service of Merakey and uphold the general standard of professional conduct that relates to the position.
• Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities.
• Able to work with Power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proficient performing desk and furniture repair
• Proficient performing surface preparation and paint
• Proficient performing wall and ceiling tile repair
• Proficient performing electrical repairs.
• Proficient performing roof repairs
• Proficient performing repairs to the HVAC system, ongoing maintenance
• Proficient performing parking lot repair and maintenance
• Proficient performing plumbing repair and maintenance
• Proficient performing lock repairs
• Proficient performing necessary renovations and upgrades to the physical plant.
• Proficient performing all types of home and building maintenance.
• Perform walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned projects while working with other or independently.

Earn up to $24/hour in this position.
