Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA is seeking an Operations Team Member (OTM) IV for 1st shift in our engine production environment.

You will quickly identify problems and resolve them by following standard work and root cause actions, with opportunities to float to different areas as needed to support daily production. The role requires basic mechanical repair skills, ability to read blueprints, intermediate computer skills, and comfort with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• One year of vocational program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Able to perform basic mechanical repairs (HVAC, industrial mechanical repairs, plumbing).
• Able to read blueprints/schematics.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient with hand tools and various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Team oriented with willingness to work weekends or overtime.
• Lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods; work in a fast-paced assembly/maintenance environment.

OTM IV – Facility Maintenance

1st Shift

Role Summary

The Operations Team Member (OTM) IV is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems. The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines and standard work or making changes based on root cause corrective actions. This position will float to work in any area of the engine production line, test and repair, as needed, to meet daily production requirements.

Required Qualifications

• One year of vocational program (after high school) or equivalent on the job training program.
• Must be able to perform basic mechanical repairs which can include HVAC, industrial mechanical repairs, plumbing, etc.
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding blue prints/schematics.
• Must have intermediate computer skills.
• Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Must have good working knowledge or hand tools and various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.)
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work weekends and/or overtime to accommodate operations.
• Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast paced, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment. Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours. All jobs require the ability to lift 25 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.

Top Candidates Will Have

• Technical Degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent certifications/work experience
• Facility maintenance experience

Additional Details

• This is a 1st shift role.
• Typical schedule is Monday through Thursday 7AM-5PM
• This position is located in Griffin, GA.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Summary Pay Range

$22.57 - $29.39
