Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA is seeking an Operations Team Member (OTM) IV for 1st shift. This role quickly identifies problems, follows guidelines, and may float across engine production lines to meet daily needs.

The position requires basic mechanical repair skills, blueprints literacy, and teamwork. Weekend/overtime work is expected; relocation and visa sponsorship are not offered.

Qualifications

• One year of vocational program (after high school) or equivalent on the job training.
• Must be able to perform basic mechanical repairs including HVAC, industrial mechanical repairs, plumbing, etc.
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding blue prints/schematics.
• Must have intermediate computer skills.
• Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Must have good working knowledge of hand tools and various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.)
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work weekends and/or overtime to accommodate operations.
• Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast paced, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment. Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours. All jobs require the ability to lift 25 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems quickly and correctly by following departmental guidelines and standard work.
• Float to work in any area of the engine production line, test and repair as needed to meet daily production requirements.
• Support the operations team to ensure timely production and quality targets.
• Collaborate with teammates to solve problems and implement root cause corrective actions.

OTM IV – Facility Maintenance

1st Shift

Role Summary:

This position will float to work in any area of the engine production line, test and repair, as needed, to meet daily production requirements.

Additional Details:

• This is a 1st shift role.
• Typical schedule is Monday through Thursday 7AM-5PM
• This position is located in Griffin, GA.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$22.57 - $29.39
