Job summary

Refresco in Greer, SC is hiring for 2nd shift (2:45pm - 11:15pm) and 3rd shift (10:45pm - 7:15am) maintenance roles. The positions require adherence to GMPs and food safety, blueprints comprehension, and forklift certification.

A $2500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, line changeovers, and collaboration with teams to minimize downtime while ensuring product quality and personnel safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMPs and food safety requirements.
• Ability to read machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
• Work without supervision; good decision making and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety policies, GMPs and wear PPE in warehouse/production areas.
• Adhere to food quality and safety standards (SQF).
• Report FSMS problems to initiate corrective actions.
• Perform repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Troubleshoot machinery (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Maintain production equipment (glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication, chemical systems).
• Apply innovative thinking to minimize downtime and protect safety and quality.
• Complete and document work orders with part numbers for inventory.
• Communicate maintenance/production information between shifts.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with production during downtime.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to resolve issues.

Essential Job Functions:

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
• Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
• Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
• Ability to perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).
• Able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment (i.e. glycol system, RO system, Compressed Air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).
• Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment in order to minimize production downtime, assure food safety, product quality and personnel safety.
• Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders to include recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.
• Communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production related information from shift to relieving shift.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
• Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
• Must be able to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
• Work without supervision.
• Good decision making/problem solving skills.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.
