Job summary

General Mills is hiring for a Production Line Lead on 3rd shift in Green Bay, WI. The role requires safely operating material handling equipment, managing inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining inventory records.

You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while training new staff. Starting pay is 24.87 per hour with 3rd shift differentials of 2.0 and 1.00 per hour on 3rd and 2nd shifts respectively; overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience in manufacturing/production preferred or two years of consistent job history.
  • Proficiency in standard computer software including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Must be proficient in English and demonstrate safety, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold environments and to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to receive, store, and transport materials.
  • Receive, inspect, store and distribute raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
  • Prepare and load products for outbound shipment per customer specs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
  • Assist in training new employees.

  • $1.00 per hour additional shift differential pay (2nd Shift)

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information
  • 8-hour shifts
    • 1st shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
    • 2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 am
    • 3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am
  • Currently hiring for 3rd Shift only
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
  • Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, store, and transport raw materials, ingredients, and finished products, support inbound and outbound shipments, and meet production needs
  • Receive, inspect, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation
  • Selecting, preparing, and loading products for outbound shipment per customer specifications
  • Responsible for the storage of raw material, ingredients or finished product
  • Receiving, unloading, and inspecting inboundingredients/packagingmaterials
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assist in training new employees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred or two years of consistent job history
  • Proficiency in standard computer software required, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Proficient in English
  • Effective communication, safety, and leadership skills
  • Must have the ability to use computer and programs such as SAGE, outlook and excel for shift reporting
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
  • Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
  • Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
