Job summary

Weinstein Properties seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a well-maintained apartment community in Texas. This is a stable, long-term role with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

You will handle work orders, HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, and appliance repairs, collaborating with the maintenance team to keep grounds and amenities in top shape. EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) and 3+ years of residential maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing HVAC systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and complete repairs safely.
• Reliable team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-readies.
• Troubleshoot, repair and install HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and carpentry items.
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

• Pay: $24/hour (and up, depending on experience)
• On-call pay:
• $150/week (calls or no calls)
• Additional $150 per holiday on-call
• Quarterly bonus: Up to $980 based on property and team performance

Your Schedule as a Maintenance Technician

• Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You'll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

What We're Looking For In A Maintenance Technician

Physical & Technical Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
