Job summary

Stabilus in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to keep our automated gas spring production line running at peak performance. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems, read schematics, and log activities in SAP-PM while supporting safety, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or military equivalent or minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electronics, mechanical, or military fields.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; proficient with voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP-PM and Microsoft Office.
• Self-starter who can work independently and lead when needed.
• Flexible to accommodate schedule changes based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs.
• Execute and support preventative maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues across hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics.
• Log all maintenance and repair activity in SAP-PM.
• Communicate equipment status clearly to production supervision.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including leak detection, safety items, and 5S.
• Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and electrical codes.

Keep our highly automated Gas Spring production facility running at peak performance. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; proficient with measuring tools (voltmeter, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
• Working knowledge of SAP-PM and Microsoft Office
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead others when needed
• Flexible to accommodate schedule changes based on business needs
