Job summary

Jobtailor in Gainesville, FL is seeking a dependable maintenance technician to support CNC and other machine shop equipment. You will monitor coolant systems, maintain tanks and pumps, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and up to 2 years of hands-on experience with machine tools, plus the ability to troubleshoot, use power and hand tools, and work safely in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years experience maintaining and repairing machine shop tools.
• Experience using power and hand tools is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Able to meet demanding deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain coolant recovery system and monitor coolant percentages.
• Maintain coolant tanks, pumps, and bag filters; perform sump cleaning.
• Repair chip and part conveyors; perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist maintenance team with additional tasks and ensure safety compliance.

Job description

• Maintain coolant recovery system, Smart skim
• Monitor coolant percentages in smart skim/CNC machines
• Maintain coolant tanks and pumps on machines
• Sump and clean coolant tanks
• Maintain bag filter by cleaning and changing filter as required
• Maintain and repair chip and part conveyors
• Perform PM tasks on equipment
• Assist in additional tasks as directed by maintenance team
• Ensure that all safety requirements are always followed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years prior experience working with, maintaining and repairing machine shop tools
• Prior experience using power and hand tools is a plus
• Mechanically inclined
• Troubleshoot and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives
