Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a skilled Machine Tool Technician to mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex machine tools, with emphasis on preventative maintenance and precision alignment.

You will perform milling, drilling, grinding, hydraulic maintenance, and read prints to tight tolerances, collaborating with internal and external customers and supporting production with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed an approved mechanical apprenticeship program or extensive experience in the mechanical repair of machine tools and related equipment.
• Skilled and experienced with preventative and predictive maintenance practices and technology.
• Metal fabrication skills.
• Familiar with ball screw repair, repair of precision spindles.
• Ability to do precision laser alignments on machine tools.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Basic electrical skills.
• Ability to communicate and build strong relationships with internal/external customers/stakeholders.
• Must be willing to work overtime opportunities to support production demands.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machine tools and related equipment
