Job summary

Essex Solutions in Franklin, IN is seeking a maintenance technician to keep production lines running by troubleshooting and repairing equipment with minimal supervision.

The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing basic fabrication and welding, and reading schematics to support uptime. You will document work, train new staff, and follow LOTO and PPE safety protocols on site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment with minimal supervision
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Perform basic fabrication and welding to repair or modify equipment and components
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting on motors, drives, sensors, and basic control systems
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Support production uptime by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns
• Assist with equipment upgrades, improvements, and minor projects
• Provide guidance, training, and support to new employees
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPE
• Accurately document maintenance activities and completed work
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Applicants must be willing to work any shift, including 12-hour rotating schedule. .
