Job summary

Staffmark Group invites qualified candidates for a Maintenance Technician position in Fort Worth, Texas. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently.

The schedule is Monday to Thursday, evenings, with overtime possibilities and night-shift differential. Starting pay is $35.36 per hour with progression potential up to $37.92 after long service.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in tobacco-free manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Install, move, assemble, align, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Operate or assist with cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment when required.
• Support plant safety, quality, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives while serving as an in-process quality inspector.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify root causes and implement effective maintenance solutions.

• Up to $36.73/hr. after 6-month progression & $37.92/hr. at 4 years of service
• Night shift differential of $1/hr. when working 2nd shift hours

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or manufacturing maintenance experience.

• Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience working safely in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain and repair production machinery.
• Experience operating or working around forklifts, cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment.
• Ability to read technical information and perform equipment alignment, assembly, and precision fitting.
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 20 feet and performing tasks on ladders.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety footwear.
• Capable of working overtime, occasional weekends, and extended shifts as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening, drug testing, and participate in random drug testing.
