Description
As a Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs across various systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Your keen mindfulness and initiative-taking approach will help maintain a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, combined with excellent critical thinking skills and mindfulness. They are initiative-taking, safety-oriented, and capable of performing preventative maintenance to avoid downtime. Effective communication, adaptability, and physical stamina are essential, along with a commitment to continuous learning and reliable performance in various working conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address potential issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and effective maintenance solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Expected hours of work:
- Provide emergency maintenance support during off-hours, as required.
- Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads.
Job Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Proven experience as a maintenance specialist or similar role.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and mindfulness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational training in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Good physical condition and ability to work in confined spaces and to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
