Job summary

GCI Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Legacy Fort Mill, a premier Fort Mill, SC community, to maintain the facility and support resident satisfaction.

This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and focuses on timely service, safety, and quality. It supports preparing homes for rent and contributes to a positive, well-maintained living environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in multifamily apartment maintenance.
• Experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, exteriors and appliances.
• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain) and HVAC repair experience.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall appearance of the community and ensure safety of all residents.
• Respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, building exteriors and appliances.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain a community residents are proud to call home.

• Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, building exteriors and appliances.
• Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to create and maintain a community residents are proud to call home.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in multifamily apartment maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry items, building exteriors and appliances.
• Dedication to exceeding needs of all customers with ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Demonstrate thoroughness, self‑motivation and organization when accomplishing tasks.
• Ability to work a non‑traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on‑call hours.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain) and substantial experience in HVAC related repairs.
