Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wisconsin to support shop equipment maintenance, HVAC repairs, and basic facility services. The role emphasizes safety, hands-on problem solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll assist with preventative maintenance, electrical/plumbing tasks, and operate equipment such as lifts and forklifts, contributing to reliable infrastructure. AA/EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Mechanical aptitude required for hands-on work and troubleshooting.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge expected for facility maintenance.
  • Prior experience with equipment operations or shop machinery is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of shop equipment and supplies. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.
  • Assist in the repair of HVAC equipment, fixtures, systems, and other equipment at facility as required.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs on overhead cranes and other equipment in shops and around the building.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and maintenance to shop equipment, with assistance.
  • Assist with a variety of plumbing maintenance for water, gas and oil.
  • Properly dispose of waste, used oil, aerosol, used filters and any other non‑biodegradable substances.
  • Operate equipment such as lifts, forklifts, etc.
