Job summary

Element Vacation Homes in Central Florida is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support our growing portfolio of properties across the region, including Mount Dora. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to guest requests, and handle repairs to keep homes guest-ready.

Ideal candidates are organized, reliable, and detail-focused, with a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and a reliable vehicle.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliability and a strong team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks and projects across multiple properties daily.
• Maintain guest homes through repairs, preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests via work orders; troubleshoot appliances, cable/Wi‑Fi, basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Track and complete tasks in the in-house work order system with priority on time-sensitive needs.
• Evaluate vacant unit condition and coordinate with third‑party providers.
• Assist with grounds upkeep and debris removal.
• Share after-hours on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
• Build strong relationships with team and local management through regular communication.
• Support colleagues including cross-coverage with housekeeping for urgent issues.
• Attend required meetings and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Description

Element Vacation Homes, a premier vacation rental company in Central Florida, is growing and looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Complete maintenance tasks and projects across multiple properties each day.
• Keep homes welcoming for guests and owners through general repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests through assigned work orders, including:
  • Appliance troubleshooting
  • Cable and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs
  • Drywall repair, painting, and basic carpentry
• Track and complete assigned tasks in our in-house work order system, prioritizing time-sensitive needs.
• Evaluate the condition of vacant units.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, including trash and debris removal.
• Share after-hours emergency on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
• Build strong working relationships with your team and local management through regular communication.
• Support colleagues when needed, including cross-coverage with housekeeping on urgent issues.
• Attend all required individual and team meetings.
• Take on other responsibilities as assigned, because no two days look the same.

• Highly organized and comfortable using software to manage and schedule work orders.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
