Starting wage is $24.62 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential for off-shift schedule.
The wage is subject a 10 year progression schedule providing yearly increases until the top wage is met: StartingRate$24.62; after 1 year:$25.11; after 2 years: $25.69; after 3 years: $26.40; after 4 years: $27.43; after 5 years: $28.59;
after 6 years: $29.96; after 7 years: $31.55; after 8 years: $33.38; after 9 years: $35.48; and at 10 years: $37.87.
Position Summary:
Services all types of complex equipment, machinery and integrated control systems consisting of combinations of electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, water, optical, welding, computer and mechanical components.
Major Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electronic office equipment
Fabricate and weld sheet metal and pipes
Calibration and repair of various gages
Operation of plant utility boilers and water systems
Troubleshoot complex circuits, electrical and mechanical devices
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of electrical and /or electronics experience
2+ years of mechanical repair experience
7+ years manufacturing experience
Knowledge of electrical circuits
Knowledge of wiring, torqueing and applied practices
Ability to weld - stick, MIG and TIG
Ability make and collect gages
Ability to read complex blueprints and scales
Ability to understand complex math functions including decimals and fractions
Must be willing and able to work any shift
Preferred:
Associate degree in Mechanic and Repair Technologies
Electrical Certificate
2+ years of AC/DC motors or locomotive testing
Self-directed individual
Functional Requirements:
Ability to climb repeatedly and work from heights off ladders, platforms and scaffolds
Repeated bending, reaching above head, climbing and kneeling
Repeated straight pulling and pushing
Prolonged standing and walking
Walking on slippery or uneven surfaces
Exposure to constant noise 90 DBA
Able to distinguish basic colors
Exposure to fumes/smoke from burning, paint vapors, and dust
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 45+ lbs
Must be willing to work in tobacco-free environment
