Job summary

Morgan Properties is seeking a Service Technician for Blackhawk Apartments in Elgin, IL. You will maintain our community and deliver exceptional service to residents, handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of related experience or equivalent education, with HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred and a valid driver's license. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with on-call duties and benefits included.

• One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot service issues including HVAC, appliances, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas according to standards and laws.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service tickets.
• Communicate clearly with residents and staff regarding repairs and updates.

Blackhawk Apartments in Elgin, IL is seeking a skilled Service Technician to help maintain our community and deliver exceptional service to our residents. If you have experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or general maintenance, we'd love to hear from you.

As the Service Technician, you will help to:

• Be responsible for trouble-shooting service issues including, but not limited to, HVAC, general appliance, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws
• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance service tickets
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and office staff regarding repairs and updates

Compensation & Incentives

• Sign On Bonus: $1,200.00
• Base Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour
• Up to 50% Rent Discount
• Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
• Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly
• On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

Hours & Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 8 AM-5 PM
• Paid rotating on-call participation required
