Job summary

Morgan Properties is seeking a Service Technician for Blackhawk Apartments in Elgin, IL. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance to ensure resident satisfaction.

You will troubleshoot repairs, maintain community areas, respond to tickets quickly, and communicate clearly with residents and office staff. Compensation includes base pay, benefits, and on-call incentives. Morgan Properties values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
• HVAC / EPA / CFC certification preferred.
• One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

If you have experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or general maintenance, we'd love to hear from you.

As theService Technician, you will help to:

• Be responsible fortrouble-shooting service issues including, but not limited to, HVAC, general appliance, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance withcompany standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws
• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance service tickets
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and office staff regardingrepairs and updates

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
• Up to 50% Rent Discount
• Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
• Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly
• On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

Hours & Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 8 AM-5 PM
• Paid rotating on-call participation required
• Must be available and prepared for emergency events
• *Schedule subject to change based on business needs
