Hispanic Housing Development Corporation (HHDC) in Woodstock, IL is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to join our team at one of our apartment communities. This full-time role involves basic maintenance, unit turns, grounds upkeep, and responding to resident service requests.

You will perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance, with HVAC assistance and reporting major issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Reliable vehicle, insurance, and good driving record.
• Must provide own basic hand tools.
• Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit turns and prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Assist with basic HVAC maintenance and report major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain common areas, building exteriors, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Hispanic Housing Development Corporation (HHDC) is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to join our team at one of our apartment communities in Woodstock, IL.

The Maintenance Technician I assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and well-kept residential property. This position performs basic maintenance, unit turns, grounds upkeep, and responds to resident service requests.

Full-Time: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, on-call
Pay Rate: $19.00–$21.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
