Job summary

Shape Products in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve electrical systems and production machinery. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support new equipment installations. A yearly bonus is offered with day and night shifts (8/10/12 hour options).

The role requires mechanical aptitude, knowledge of low voltage wiring, motor control, and ability to read schematics. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with gears, fixtures and forming equipment.
• Knowledge of low voltage wiring and motor control circuits.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and machine documentation.
• Basic understanding of industrial controls (relays, contactors) and pneumatic systems.
• Good computer skills for recording maintenance data and reporting.

Responsibilities

Job description

Join Shape Products as a Maintenance Technician! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled technician to join our team and contribute to maintaining and improving our electrical systems and production machinery. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Compensation: $28-$40/hours

*Yearly bonus

Shifts & Schedule:

• Day and Nights
• 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and performance data.
• Provide technical support and training to operators and team members.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Communicate with production, engineering, and external partners to resolve equipment issues efficiently.

• What We’re Looking For:
• Mechanical aptitude- rebuild gears, alignment plates, fixtures and forming equipment.
• Low Voltage wiring - installation and trouble shooting.
• Ability and understanding of three phase circuits and motor control circuits.
• Basic understanding of industrial controls (contactors, relays etc.)
• Basic understanding of pneumatic systems
• Simple machining and layout
• Various mechanical and light electrical repairs
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent Customer service and communication
• Able to plan and execute projects small to large
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and machine documentation.
