Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to assist in the preventive and ongoing maintenance of the Center's facilities, grounds, and systems in Drums, PA. The role includes supervising Work-Based Learning activities within the department and coordinating with contractors to ensure high-quality repairs.

The position requires at least a high school diploma, one year of maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Technical certificates are preferred.

Schedule - 7a 4pPOSITION SUMMARYAssists in providing preventative and ongoing maintenance of Center facility, grounds and systems.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISIONMay supervise Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning assigned to the department.RESPONSIBILITIESo Performs repair and preventive maintenance to facility and building systems on Center.o May inspect the work of other maintenance personnel.o Researches and recommends purchase of replacement equipment as needed.o May be asked to oversee the training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area.o May be asked to oversee the activities and quality of performance of outside contractors performing repairs and/or replacement of equipment.o Conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure working quality.o May coordinate activities with the Facilities Maintenance vocational training program, if applicable.o Completes work orders as assigned in a timely manner.o Provides student transport as necessary.o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Advanced degrees preferred. Minimum one yearexperience in building maintenance required. Technical certificate preferred. Working knowledgeof carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers and other building systemspreferred. Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurabilityrequirements.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing,carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
