Premier Property Management is seeking a diligent Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Detroit. The role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks to keep properties safe and functional.

You will respond to resident requests, assist with turnovers, and maintain accurate records while upholding high standards of service. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property maintenance, solid skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and drywall.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and drywall.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and repairs on residential properties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and longevity of systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
• Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Collaborate with management to address issues and uphold property standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks.
• Snow removal in winter months.
• Follow all safety protocols.
