Derby, NY recruiting area |28–$36per hour, based on experience | Full-time
Direct hire or contract-to-hire

Put your troubleshooting skills to work with an established food manufacturer where your repairs make a daily difference. This Industrial Maintenance Technician opportunity offers varied equipment, practical problem-solving, and close collaboration with the maintenance team.

Candidates with strong heavy industrial manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. Previous food manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, starting at 8 a.m. Workdays generally finish between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., based on maintenance needs, with approximately 4–6 hours of Saturday preventive maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

• Investigate equipment failures, identify causes, and test completed repairs.
• Replace worn components and service mechanical drives, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting within your training and qualifications.

Your Background

• 5+ years repairing production equipment in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, work orders, and maintenance‑parts inventory.
• A dependable work history with clear explanations of previous role transitions.
• Availability for the onsite schedule, extended days, and Saturday work.
• Experience following industrial safety and equipment‑isolation procedures.

Helpful extras: Food-processing or packaging equipment experience, welding, plumbing, and Spanish-language skills. A technical certificate or equivalent mechanical experience is accepted.
