Job Description

About the job:

The primary functions include repairing, maintaining, and installing machines, tools, and equipment. Maintains buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plants. Includes ability to construct and maintain production plant facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain machinery, equipment and facility.
  • Plan and prepare preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Plan and prepare preventative maintenance on facility equipment including HVAC, dust collectors, compressors, etc.
  • Responsible to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
  • Operate various tools and equipment such as cutting torch, welder, grinders, saws, etc.
  • Maintain and repair pipes, plumbing, and fixtures.
  • Complete some construction requirements such as carpentry, sheetrock, and painting.
  • Maintain and repair electrical switches and fixtures.
  • Remain compliant with OSHA standards, EPA regulations, GMP and ISO policies and procedures and any other regulatory body’s requirements pertaining to machinery, equipment or the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/Or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; at least 5 years relevant experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Work Environment

This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demand

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.

Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
