Job summary

Sea Bluffs, Ivy Signature Living, managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Maintenance Technician and Groundskeeper to upkeep facilities and grounds with a focus on safety and resident comfort. The role is full-time on the AM shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC work, and assisting with apartment turnovers, landscaping, and ensuring a secure environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance/building upkeep experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must pass background and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical plant, exterior and interior areas, and resident units.
• Assist with apartment turnovers (painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing).
• Maintain grounds, pool and spa where applicable.
• Adhere to safety standards and promote a safe environment.
• Collaborate with teammates across departments.

Position: Maintenance Technician and Groundskeeper

Full Time AM Shift, 8AM-4:30PM, and Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $18.00 an hour

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
