Job summary

The Ivy Blue Oaks, managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the community in California. This full-time role covers maintenance of the physical plant, common areas, and resident units, with duties including turnovers and grounds upkeep.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical/plumbing/HVAC knowledge, a willingness to assist with turnover tasks, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in building maintenance or related fields.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background and health screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to use MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and resident units.
• Assist with apartment turnovers (painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing).
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa as applicable.
• Ensure a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Promote teamwork and cooperative interactions with staff.

Position: Maintenance Technician - FULL TIME!

Days: FULL TIME, either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday,

Times: Generally 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Pay Range: $18.00-21.00

The Maintenance Technician

is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company�s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers � painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
