Ivy Living seeks a Maintenance Technician and Groundskeeper for Sea Bluffs, Ivy Signature Living, in Dana Point, CA. The role covers maintenance of buildings, grounds, and resident spaces, with a focus on safety and resident comfort.

The position requires basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge, and duties include turnovers and grounds upkeep. Candidates should be at least 18, hold a high school diploma, and be comfortable using MS Office.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling upkeep and repairs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Clear written and verbal communication with staff, residents, and families.
• Criminal background check and health screenings required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant, exterior, interior common areas, and resident units.
• Assist with apartment turnovers—painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds, including pool and spa where applicable.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation with staff and other departments.

Position: Maintenance Technician and Groundskeeper

Full Time AM Shift, 8AM-4:30PM, and Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 hour

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
