The Ivy Thornton, managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our premier senior living community. You will handle basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC tasks, assist with apartment turnover, and help maintain grounds while ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.

We value teamwork and strong customer service as you collaborate with colleagues, physicians, and families.

Competenze

• Six months of experience in building maintenance or related work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening (physical and TB).
• Vaccination and PPE guidelines may be required per regulatory rules.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
