Job summary

Amcor is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain facilities, production equipment and building systems. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair or replace defective parts while following safety and environmental guidelines.

You’ll communicate priorities daily with managers and support 5S initiatives to improve uptime and efficiency. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, welding skills, and experience in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Good English language skills.
  • Welding skills required.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Strong electrical knowledge.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience.
  • Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience.
  • Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • MS Office literate.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior process machinery trouble shooting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control and motor systems.
  • Diagnose problems with equipment and repair/replace defective parts.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers.
  • Diagnose problems with equipment and repair/replace defective parts.
  • Communicate daily with Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop priorities for the maintenance team.
  • Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout operations.
  • Research and purchase parts for machine breakdowns and/or spare parts replacement.
  • Improve machine uptime by ensuring CM's and PMs are properly performed and documented in MaintainX.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Purpose

Repair and maintain a variety of facilities, production, and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Maintain control and motor systems
  • Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
  • Support & comply with safety & environmental guidelines
  • Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers

  • Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team

  • Research and purchase parts as needed for machine breakdowns and/or spare parts replacement
  • Improve machine up time by ensuring all CM's and PMs are properly performed and documented in MaintainX
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Strong motor skills
