Job summary

Wabtec in Coshocton, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.

This role offers pay of $28.00–$34.00 per hour with 2nd and 3rd shifts (7 PM–5:30 AM). Training on 1st shift is provided and OT may be required.

Candidates should have strong mechanical skills, the ability to read manuals and blueprints, and experience in preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance, industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical experience.
• Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Forklift certification or ability to operate a 3-ton forklift preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Inspect equipment, check lubricant levels, and apply grease as needed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust mechanical equipment.
• Assist with electrical repairs and installation projects.
• Support pipe fitting, machinery installation, and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain HVAC, lighting, water, sewer, and other building systems.
• Help install and maintain new plant equipment.
• Improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support production goals and quality standards.
• Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
