Job summary

Lake Blackshear Retreat / Georgia Veterans State Park in Cordele, GA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facilities across the resort and park. The role requires hands-on maintenance across several trades and a commitment to high guest service levels.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, or drywall, and will work under the Engineering Manager to keep buildings and grounds in top condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in at least three of the listed disciplines (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall).
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a resort/hospitality environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and structures within Lake Blackshear Retreat & Georgia Veterans State Park.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting and drywall tasks as needed.
• Report to Engineering Manager and ensure high quality, best-in-class service.

Maintenance Technician - Lake Blackshear Retreat / GA Veterans State Park

Georgia Veterans State Park / Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center,located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for an extraordinary Maintenance Technician. Our campus is comprised of 1,308 acres of pine and hardwoods located on a beautiful 8,800-acre cypress lakefront - Lake Blackshear. Lake Blackshear Resort has 10 lake cabins, 6 multi‑bedroom villas, catering, off site fitness center, conference center, marina with boat rental and lakeside dining and bar with entertainment, and 18 hole‑golf course. In addition, we offer 82 camp sites (of which many are water front), a pioneer camp area, 3 community shelters and 4 open air picnic pavilions, swimming beach, 3D archery course and a military museum and static military displays of planes, cannons and tanks.

We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

Qualifications:

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for all buildings and structures within the Resort and Park. A potential candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years' experience in at least 3 of the following disciplines:

• Basic electrical repair
• Plumbing
• Air Conditioning Repair Knowledge
• Painting
• Drywall Patching

This is a full-time position.
