Job summary

Axion Recruitment Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Columbia, SC, on a 2nd shift with pay ranging from $32.00 to $38.00 per hour. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a metals manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, wiring, and support systems, while performing preventative maintenance and diagnostics to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining VFDs and electric motors.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
• Connect power supply wiring to machines and production equipment.
• Repair piping, hydraulic, pneumatic and auxiliary systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Maintain pumps, motors and conveyor systems.
• Operate machine shop equipment including lathes, drill presses and grinders.
• Complete welding and fabrication work as required.

We’re recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer producing steel products for the water, pipework and gas industries.

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment
• Connect power supply wiring to machines and production equipment
• Repair piping, hydraulic, pneumatic and auxiliary systems
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment faults
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Maintain pumps, motors and conveyor systems

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years’ industrial maintenance experience
