Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join Michigan’s fastest-growing property management company. The role involves performing general apartment maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry, with emphasis on preventative work and timely response to resident requests.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends or be on-call.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and the ability to be on-call.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts.
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized.
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas.
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing.

The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
