Job summary

NeuLife Rehabilitation of Michigan is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. The role requires performing routine inspections and coordinating approved repairs to keep environments safe and functional for clients and staff.

You will report maintenance issues, estimate repair costs, and ensure preventative maintenance is completed. Travel and on-site responsibilities are possible as needed in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment.
• Report issues to Maintenance Manager and Operations leadership.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Estimate repair costs and order parts after approvals.
• Monitor maintenance log and address reported issues.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect; uphold residents' rights.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, gounds, vehicles, and equipment. You will complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance, respond to maintenance requests, and coordinate approved outside repairs. The Maintenance Technician will help maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained environments for clients and staff.

Job responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of building, grounds, vehicles, and equipment
• Report any issues to the Maintenance Manager, Director of Operations, and Executive Director
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently
• Estimate repair costs
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment only after being approved by the Director of Operations
• Check the maintenance log daily to address any maintenance issues reported by the staff
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
• Treat the residents with dignity and respect. Follow the residents' rights and responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to operate computers and other office machinery
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to travel more than 20%
