Coastal Ridge Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Edison at Gordon Square, a luxury apartment community in Cleveland, OH. You will handle a broad set of maintenance tasks to keep residents safe, comfortable, and satisfied, including after-hours calls and on-call rotations.

You will work on unit turnovers, exterior and pool areas, and coordinate with the Property Manager to meet move-in deadlines and property goals.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances experience preferred.
• EPA Type I/II certification preferred; may be required in some locations.
• Basic English communication skills to interact with residents and team members.
• Strong problem-solving and safe work practices in maintenance tasks.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a well-maintained and welcoming community for our residents. Your expertise and dedication will enhance the property’s value while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable living experience for everyone. This full-time, non-exempt position reports directly to the Property Manager.

Where You’ll Work:

The Edison at Gordon Square is a luxury apartment community located in the Gordon Square Arts District on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. Our community is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, Edgewater Park, and the lakefront bike path. We also have convenient access to Route 20, I-90, I-77 & I-71, providing access to all downtown Cleveland has to offer. Our pet-friendly one, two, & three-bedroom apartments & townhomes with views of downtown Cleveland & Lake Erie feature wood-style plank floors, quartz or granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, espresso cabinets, kitchen islands, and more!

What You’ll Own:

• Ensure timely and thorough completion of all resident service requests, including after-hours and emergency needs. You will participate in an on-call rotation with the rest of the maintenance team.
• Execute unit turnovers and make-readies for new residents to meet move-in deadlines with high-quality standards.
• Proactively maintain the exterior and common areas of the community, including grounds, breezeways, and shared spaces, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
• Perform swimming pool maintenance and ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards, where applicable.
• Identify and address maintenance issues proactively to minimize disruptions and improve property efficiency.
• Consistently adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies. Promptly report any hazards or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Utilize property resources, tools, and supplies efficiently and safely, ensuring proper care, maintenance, and inventory of equipment.
• Work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to meet property goals and foster a culture of teamwork and support.
• Maintain the required uniform and ensure a professional and approachable appearance at all times.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic English communication skills to follow instructions and interact with residents and team members.
• Previous general maintenance experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances, strongly preferred.
• EPA Certification (Type I and II) preferred; may be required in some locations.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use maintenance management software and email systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Ability to frequently walk and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift/move loads up to 50 lbs. and use a ladder.
• Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property and have reliable transportation to participate in on-call duties.
