Job description

Birgo is a mission-driven company seeking a Maintenance Technician for 8 apartment communities in Lockport, NY, totaling 500+ units. Experience with apartments/multi-family is a plus, as is an EPA certification. Join our fast-growing team to improve lives through real estate!

Pay and Benefits

• $24-27 per hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix plumbing leaks
• Troubleshoot appliance repairs
• Perform repairs and work orders including drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC
• Conduct turnovers and make-readies
• Manage unit renovations
• Implement preventative maintenance
• Provide on-call emergency maintenance
• Assist in other duties to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Requirements

• Preferred: EPA Certification
• Experience in property maintenance
• Well-rounded skill set
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal transportation
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
• Proficient in using power tools safely
• Ability to work in confined spaces and ascend/descend ladders and staircases
