Job summary

Cafe Spice is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our fast-paced food manufacturing facility in New York. You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including motors, hydraulics, HVAC, refrigeration, and control circuits, while performing preventative maintenance and supporting equipment upgrades.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or food production setting, a strong ability to read blueprints, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification a plus.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production setting.
• Solid knowledge of industrial systems: motors, hydraulics, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and pumps.
• Maintain and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems.
• Install and repair HVAC units and electrical components, including 3-phase systems and motor controls.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with control circuits and automated systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.
• Support equipment installations and upgrades as needed.
• Ensure all work is done safely and in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.
