Nucor, North America's largest steel producer, invites applications for a maintenance-focused role. This position emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on equipment repair across diverse environments.

Responsibilities include following OSHA procedures, repairing conveyors, gear boxes, motors, and shredders, performing acetylene torch and plasma cutting, MIG and stick welding, and supporting both maintenance and production teams during repairs.

• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures
• Maintain and repair all equipment including conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
• Acetylene torch and plasma cutting
• MIG welding and stick welding using 7018
• Work in outdoor and indoor environments
• Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
• Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects

Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
