Job summary

Nucor Corporation in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a maintenance technician to support River Metals Recycling operations. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing complex equipment, welding, cutting, and following strict safety and housekeeping standards.

Work will involve both indoor and outdoor environments. The team emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration to keep systems running and production on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience following OSHA safety procedures and policy.
• Ability to maintain and repair heavy equipment.
• Experience with welding processes including MIG and stick welding.
• Comfort working indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Maintain and repair equipment including conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
• Perform acetylene torch and plasma cutting.
• MIG welding and stick welding using 7018.
• Change liners, grates, hammers, etc.
• Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
• Assist maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects.
