Job summary

Southminster in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to keep a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, plus one weekend shift every other month.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in property maintenance, with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems; HS diploma or GED required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of property maintenance experience preferred (multifamily/senior living/healthcare).
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, cooling, and building equipment.
• Complete daily equipment checks to help ensure proper and safe operation.
• Test emergency equipment and maintain accurate inspection and testing logs.
• Identify and report needed equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Keep mechanical rooms and maintenance work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Provide courteous, professional service while supporting a positive community environment.
• Demonstrate CARE values and perform other duties as assigned.
