Job Description: Maintenance Technician at Apex Systems

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a beverage manufacturing client located in Charlotte, NC. There are 2nd and 3rd shift roles available, with a rotating weekend schedule.

Pay Range: $30-32/hr.

Position Type: 3-month Contract-to-Hire, 100% Onsite in Charlotte, NC.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical devices on production lines and support equipment.
• Rebuild pumps and related equipment.
• Train and assist line personnel and supervisors.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct visual inspections and communicate issues.
• Participate in process improvement meetings.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.

Required Skills:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.

Technical Knowledge:

• Ability to read mechanical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
• Knowledge of motor installation, inspection, and electrical controls.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting refrigeration equipment.
