Job summary

Phillips Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our properties safe, attractive, and well‑maintained for residents in Charleston. You will work with the property management team and gain hands‑on experience across multiple trades, from plumbing and electrical to carpentry and HVAC.

You’ll prepare apartments for new residents, handle work orders efficiently, and uphold curb appeal while performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 1–3 months of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation essential.
• Own set of tools; HVAC/CFC/CPO certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for new residents (turns & move-outs).
• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Keep exterior areas clean and presentable (curb appeal).
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance.
• Daily trash pickup and grounds upkeep.
• Maintain trash compactors and swimming pools (seasonal).
• Troubleshoot and repair: Plumbing, Basic electrical, Appliances, Carpentry & drywall, Roofing & flooring.
• Check irrigation systems; maintain logs of work and materials used.
• Participate in on-call maintenance rotation.

What You’ll Do
