Job summary

The Benoit Group LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and carry out preventative maintenance across our properties in Champaign, IL.

On-site work includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance servicing. You will prepare properties for inspections, winterize facilities, supervise unit turns, inspect vendor work, and participate in emergency maintenance calls when scheduled. EPA Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, heating, and other building systems.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
• Must be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance.
• On-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property.
• Assist in preparing property for inspections by regulatory agencies
• Perform Preventive Maintenance to include winterizing facilities to prevent minimum freeze damage during cold weather.
• Inspects vacant units, ensuring unit turns are completed by overseeing painting and all other tasks.
• Inspects Vendor services and documents work and product quality
• Assists with all repairs that are needed when inclement weather is factored.
• Attends and completes all required training
• Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment.
