Job summary

The Westover Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support apartment communities in Camp Hill, PA. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, diagnose HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues, and ensure a safe, well-maintained living environment for residents.

Candidates should have solid hand and power tool skills, be able to lift items, and be comfortable working on ladders. This on-site role offers training opportunities and growth within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools.
• Be capable of lifting heavy items (water heaters, appliances, etc.).
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area.
• Possess reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

• Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer.
• Communicating and working well with leasing and maintenance staff.
• Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas.

• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues.
• Providing own (basic) hand tools.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Attending in-house training as required.
• Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs.

The Maintenance Technician supports one or multiple apartment properties maintaining routine service requests as well as preventative maintenance. He/she will be responsible for completing this work safely and timely to provide our residents with superior customer service. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in Camp Hill, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Attending in-house training as required.
• Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrate theappropriateand safe use of standard hand and power tools.
• Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
• Be able to shovel and salt asrequired.
• Performroutine,preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
• Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
• Able and willing to lift objects asrequired.
• Keep track of inventory andmaintaina clean and stocked shop.
• Complete work ordersin a timely manner.
• Identifysafety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
• Follow company operational and safety procedures.
• Ability toworkan on-call schedule asrequired.
