Job summary

Bronson & Bratton, Inc. in Burr Ridge, IL seeks a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift to maintain CNC equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics in a high-precision tool & die shop.

Must have 5+ years, diagnose and repair capabilities, perform preventive maintenance, and communicate clearly in English. Benefits include health, dental, vision and 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a high precision tool and die shop.
• Proficient with electrical testing equipment and CNC diagnostics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical wiring.
• Experience with general facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical).
• PLC programming, testing, simulating, and integrating systems.
• Forklift operation is a plus.
• Ability to research repair procedures and replacement parts.
• Filtration system operation knowledge (Alar).
• Detail-oriented with strong English communication.
• Internet and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machinery such as motors, pumps, belts, fans, leadscrews and bearings on Mills, Lathes, and Grinders.
• Diagnose CNC equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties as assigned.
• Research procedures and parts, including new and used options.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation and documentation of work.

Job description

Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years needed for 1st shift in a family-owned high precision tool & die shop.

• Must be proficient in using electrical testing equipment and capable of diagnosing and repairing CNC machinery.
• Must also have a working knowledge of industrial hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical wiring.
• Experience with general facility maintenance on more difficult (plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical repairs).
• PLC programming to include test, simulate, troubleshoot and integrate systems.
• Forklift operation is a plus.
• Repairs and maintains machinery such as motors, pumps, belts, fans, leadscrews and bearings on Mills, Lathes, and Grinders etc.
• Ability to research internet to find repair procedures and replacement parts new and used.
• Working knowledge of Alar filtration system operation and repair.
• Performs preventive maintenance duties as assigned.
• High School Degree/GED required
• Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and have good verbal communication skills including a fluency in English.
• Internet skills and computer skills.
