Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to service clubs in the greater Raleigh, NC area. You will install, maintain and repair fitness equipment and building systems, while ensuring safety and reliability across locations.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical/plumbing knowledge, strong tool skills, and are able to lift heavy items. This role requires on-call availability including nights and weekends, with travel between clubs and company-provided vehicle support.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge about electrical, plumbing and other systems.
• Proficiency with tools and common appliances/devices.
• Ability to lift items weighing 75 pounds.
• Maintain company vehicle in excellent condition.
• Strong communication skills.
• On-call for maintenance emergencies including nights, early mornings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair fitness equipment following safety regulations.
• Upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all locations.
• Inspect alarm systems.
• Coordinate maintenance with external partners as needed.
• Be on call for maintenance emergencies; nights and weekends may be required.

Planet Fitness is looking for a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to service our clubs around the greater Raleigh, NC area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing, Maintaining and Repairing fitness equipment independently while abiding by safety regulations
• Upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all location
• Inspection of alarm systems
• Partnering with other companies to schedule maintenance as needed
• Ability to be on call for maintenance emergency's
• Available of nights and weekends
• Travel will be necessary meaning a valid driver's license will be needed. Vehicle transportation will be provided by the company
• Reimbursement will also be provided for travel time
