Advantage Technical in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Automated Manufacturing for a direct hire role on a nights shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM rotating).

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated assembly, transfer, and material handling systems, diagnose PLCs, sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, and electro-mechanical equipment, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated assembly, transfer, or material handling systems.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in high-volume, high-speed manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated assembly, transfer, and material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated assembly, transfer, and material handling systems.
• Diagnose and support PLCs, sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Support automated production lines and integrated manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and maintain production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated assembly, transfer, or material handling systems.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Proven success supporting equipment in high-volume, high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Experience with inline, cam-driven, or mechanically timed automation systems.
• Experience with Mikron G05 equipment or similar high-speed assembly platforms strongly preferred.
• Additional experience with injection molding, integrated automation cells, ASRS systems, AMRs, or warehouse automation is a plus.
