Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diverse equipment. You will work across carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, and janitorial tools in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and clear communication with customers and team members. Shift is Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm with a $17.00–$18.00 hourly wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic trade training preferred.
• Six months minimum in a related environment; two years electrical experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and predictive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; follow safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers about issues.
• Use hand and power tools, ladders, and scissor lifts as needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs and schedules.

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in one or more fields (carpentry, paint, electrical, janitorial equipment, HVAC, vehicle/golf cart etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Self-Starter with Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Perform routine and predictive maintenance
• Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, electrical & mechanical issues and then repair
• Strong customer service skills
• Comfortable communicating complex issues with superior, co-workers and customers in a professional manner
• Proven ability to work safely in industrial environments
• Familiar with and utilize proper Lock Out/ Tag Out safety procedures
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs on all floor equipment, scrubbers, chariot vacuums, extractors, etc.
• Respond positively to requests in a timely manner
• Ability to use hand and power tools, use of scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding. Soldering and welding a plus
• Maintain maintenance logs and schedules

Education and/ or Experience: Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent experience and or training such as basic plumbing, painting, HVAC or construction. Two years Electrical Experience minimum. High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Must complete all safety, environmental and task training and or certifications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May required to have a valid driver’s license. Forklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
