Lifespace Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance team member for Friendship Village of Bloomington in Bloomington, MN to perform assigned maintenance duties, routine preventive maintenance, and repairs, while ensuring safety and quality.

Starting pay is based on experience, with a pay range of $23.76 to $32.66 per hour. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance or construction.
  • Certification/license as required to operate or repair equipment.
  • Driver’s license with a clean driving record as defined by insurance mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition; notify supervisors for replacements.
  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
  • Complete work within scheduled time frames according to budget and priorities.
  • Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
  • Pick up and deliver supplies.
  • Operate maintenance equipment, including hand/power tools and company vehicles.

A Few Details About The Role
  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance. Identify deficiencies and follow procedure for correcting problems.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition, and notifies supervisors to ensure adequate replacements are available as needed.
  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
  • Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
  • Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
  • Pick up and deliver supplies.
  • Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.
And Here’s What You Need To Apply
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical education preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year experience working in building maintenance or construction.
  • Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
  • A state issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
  • Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
  • Pay is commensurate with experience.
  • Starting pay will be determined by skills, experience, and internal equity.
  • Pay determined by level of experience and position-related competencies.
